Sharon Lynn Kubik, cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away September 23, 2023 due to natural causes. Sharon was born July 16, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas, later moving to Colorado, before settling in Irvine, California. She married her beloved husband, Timothy, on May 11, 2001.
She worked various jobs over the years in accounting and human resources including Ocean Pacific Sun Wear, later retiring from Consolidated Reprographics. She enrolled in an aerobics class at Irvine Valley Junior College which led to taking night classes, earning her AA degree. Sharon loved to sew, making most of her daughters’ clothes in their younger years. After retiring, she sewed countless dresses for an international ministry called “Dress a Girl Around the World” that protected young girls in impoverished countries. Walking and shopping at Fashion Island or South Coast Plaza, beach days in Laguna Beach, attending Bible study, caring for her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren brought her great pleasure. Most of all, she loved time with Tim, vacationing to the Hawaiian Islands multiple times; she would begin packing her suitcase months in advance of their trip. Sharon lovingly cared for her mother through her final years of dementia, modeling beautifully how to love someone to their last breath. When Tim retired, they moved to the desert, building a home in Indio, California. Tim was committed to caring for her every need, and throughout her journey with Alzheimer’s, Sharon remained loving and kind, greeting everyone with smiles and hugs, touching the hearts of all who cared for her.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Kubik, her daughters Jill Marshall and Melissa Bell (Aaron), two grandchildren Leah Bell and Nicklaus Marshall (Arianna) and great granddaughter, Lorelai Marshall. Arrangements are made through Forest Hills.
