Shanshan Li

Shanshan Li, age 39, passed away on May 6, 2026. She will be remembered as an incredibly passionate and devoted soul who poured her heart into her children, husband, parents, family, and her friends.

Shanshan is survived by her husband, Michael Yang, their son Tedrick, daughter Claire; and her parents, Jingman and Bin.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Minzu University in Beijing, and went on to complete a Masters degree from Beijing Normal University & a Masters in Education Psychology from Pepperdine University. She dedicated her career to the growth of others, serving first as a Career Development Specialist at Pepperdine University and later as a Lecturer at the University of Southern California. Those who have had the pleasure of crossing paths with Shanshan will remember her as an extraordinary individual who consistently went above and beyond to support those around her.

Perhaps most will remember her as a devoted mother to Teddie and Coco - her pride and joy. She enjoyed taking them to piano lessons, to play tennis, to play soccer, and dedicated so much of her time to make sure Teddie and Coco are so well taken care of, and loved.

The service will be held May 21, 2026, 10:30 AM at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068. Please check in at the Information Booth located at the main entrance, just before the main gate. Please plan to arrive before 10AM to allow time for the group to gather and proceed together to the service at Shanshan’s final resting place.
