Seta Kasajian

Seta Ksajikian, 88, born on March 8, 1930, in Alexandria, Egypt, passed away May 22, 2018. She resided in Van Nuys, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California. If desired, charitable donations may be made to "Paralyzed Veterans of America" (www.pva.org), a charity which Seta continuously supported.

Seta was born Seta Boghosyan. Growing up in the Siūf region of Alexandria, she received her secondary education from Lycée Français (French school) and attended music school where she excelled in piano, dance and singing. In 1947, at 17, she and her family moved to Armenia. In Yerevan, she joined Tatul Altounian's Armenian State-honored Ensemble of Song and Dance, toured extensively throughout Armenia, Russia and the Caucasus. in 1955, after an 8 year courtship, she married Arsen Ksajikian, moved to Sukhumi, and started a family of three children, Armen, Kegham and Jasmin. She was a devoted mother and wife. In 1976, after moving to Los Angeles and while still caring for her family, she pursued her passion in cooking by starting a successful catering business. Her baklava was renowned among her clients, which she continued to make well into her 80s. Seta was the type of person who would light up the room with her smile and kindness. Seta had many friends and family who loved her very much. She will be missed by all.
