Haverhill: Scott R. Lacroix, 28, of Bradford, and formerly of Sandown, died Monday evening, July 9, 2012, at Merrimack Valley Hospital.

Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a member of the Whittier Regional Technical High School Class of 2001where he participated in the Skills USA competition. He was presently employed as a Journeyman Electrician for Baker Electric Co. of Saugus and previously at City & Suburban Electric of Haverhill, Stello Electric of Nashua and Gemini Electric of Auburn, NH.

Scott was a volunteer for the Haverhill  Christmas in April program and helped to wire several local schools and church organizations for internet services.

Scott was especially devoted to his nieces and nephews and was an avid Boston and New England sports fan. He also enjoyed canoeing, boating and camping in the White Mountains and also playing pond hockey as a member of the Mighty Anglers Hockey Club. He also took great pride in the floats he built each year for the annual Angle Pond Fourth of July Boat Parade.

He is survived by his parents Richard S. and Pamela M. (Bouchard) Lacroix, of Sandown, his brother and sister-in-law, Matthew S. and Katie Lacroix of Plaistow, sisters and brother-in-law, Kristen M. and Brandon Thistlewood of Haverhill, and Leanne M. Lacroix of Sandown, and her fianc John Rau, paternal grand-mother Lois P. (Lougee) Lacroix of Sandown, nieces and nephews, Zachary Lacroix, Kayla Thistlewood, Alexis Thistlewood, Matthew S. Lacroix,II, Emma Kate Lacroix, Kylie Rau, and Meagan Rau, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and his cat, Brewin.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in all Saints Church, Haverhill. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Make-a Wish Foundation.
