Scott Michael Kulander

Scott Michael Kulander passed away on September 23, 2018, from sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 42. He grew up in Minnesota and moved to California in 1996. He worked as a Project Manager at Deluxe Technicolor until his passing. He worked hard and played hard every day of his life.

Scott was the best husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend you could have ever hoped to have in your life. He lived life to the fullest every day. He enjoyed music, movies, and dancing. He attended numerous concerts every year with his husband, sister, and friends. In our estimation he saw over 950 bands in concert since moving to California in 1996. The highlight of every year for him was attending the Coachella Music and Arts Festival and dancing for three days straight in the desert.

Scott had a kind soul and was a friend to everyone he met. He was always there to help others and always lifted the room with his smile and his laugh. He was known for his sarcastic wit and his encyclopedic knowledge of all things music. Without him life will never be the same for those that were fortunate enough to have known and loved him.

Scott is survived by his husband, Eric Henley, his parents, Gene and Mary Lou Kulander, his brother John Kulander and his wife Lori, and his sister Kris Hopping and her husband Christopher. He was also the devoted "fun uncle" to his nephew Jacob and his nieces Stephanie, Hannah, Tiffany, and Emma.

There will forever be a hole in the heart of those who loved Scott. We are lucky to have loved him and to have been loved by him. May he forever dance in the rhythm of our hearts.
