Sara C. Munoz

Sara C. Muñoz, 89, born on July 5, 1932, in Mexico, passed away July 3, 2022. She is the daughter of Caroline and Eusebio who preceded her in death as well as her brothers Robert, Eddie and George. Sara is survived by her sister Mary and brothers David, Gilbert, Ray and Johnny. Sara was born in Mexico but moved to Los Angeles when she was a young child. She grew up in the neighborhood of Macy Street where she met her future beloved husband, Daniel. They married in 1951 and together had 4 children, Daniel Jr., Rudy, Martha and David. Sara worked at various electronics factories doing soldering work. Eventually, she moved to working in the aerospace industry where she spent the majority of her career. She worked on the electronics of the Viking orbiter/lander that landed on Mars in 1976. Sara was also proud of her work on the Hubble Telescope. In a way, a piece of her will always live on in the night sky. She loved to cook and made the best sopa arroz and fideo. Sara has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She even has one great-great grandchild. Sara is deeply missed by all her loved ones. She resided in Baldwin Park, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.
