SandraLee "Sandy" Elizabeth (Castro) McNece, 62, of Long Beach, passed away Tuesday, December 24th. Sandy was born in Harbor City, California on August 14, 1957 to loving parents William and Genevieve Castro. She attended St. Lucy School, St. Anthony High School, and Long Beach City College. She held numerous jobs in the area over the years with her very first being at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Long Beach (where she met her husband to be Charles "Chuck" McNece), Don Kott Ford in Carson, The Big Yellow House and Monterey Bay Canners in Cerritos and most recently Silliker Laboratories in Cypress, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles McNece and her father William Castro, Sr. and is survived by her son Matthew McNece, Sr. of Long Beach; two grandchildren Matthew McNece, Jr. and Dylan McNece of Long Beach; her mother Genevieve Castro of Long Beach; three siblings, William "Billy" Castro, Jr. of Laguna Niguel, Brenda Caplinger (Michael) of Port Hueneme, and Edward Castro (Josephine) of Redlands; nephew Andrew Castro and niece Lauren Castro both of Redlands; and step-niece Carrie Caplinger of Long Beach. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn, 1500 East San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA 90807 (562) 981-8635.
