Sandra Herrell

Sandra Lynn Herrell, 77, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Born on October 03, 1948, to Eugene and Doris Townsend, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Sandra Lynn Herrell is survived by her husband, Gregg Herrell, and her children, Shelley Petersen, Scott Herrell, Lindsay Herrell and Lauren Herrell; and her grandchildren, Grayson, Atarah, Remy, Blythe, Loula, and Finley.

She was a force of nature, known for her genuine kindness, amazing strength, awesome sense of humor and her keen fashion sense. Sandra dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest joy in taking care of the garden, making sure the hummingbirds were fed, whipping up delicious meals for her family, decorating for the holidays, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her sweet unconditional love and support, her beautiful smile, and her infectious laughter.

A Celebration of life will be held at Sacred Heart Church in La Quinta, CA, on January 15th, 2026, at 2PM. Reception to follow at nearby location. The family welcomes flowers.
