Sandra Ann "Sandi" Call passed away peacefully at the age of 80 surrounded by her family in Burbank, Ca. Born on June 11, 1935 to Ken and Gladdi Smith in Los Angeles, Sandi was a happy baby. Ken worked for Firestone Tires during Sandi's youth and the family moved several times within the Southern California Region. Blessed with an outgoing personality Sandi adjusted easily to change and most new situations. Sandi graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in 1953. While working for All State Insurance Co. (her first serious job as she recalled) she met her prince charming Revis T. Call, fell in love and eventually married in 1958. Sandi and Revis soon had three children, Kelly, Scott, and Tom. Sandi enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. As the children grew Sandi volunteered at St. Josephs Medical Center for nine years. She then spent over 20 years volunteering and working for the La Providencia Guild's Thrift Shop (which raised money for the The Children's Hospital Loos Angeles). Shortly after starting her tenure she was made merchandize manager a position she held until retiring. Sandi loved working at the thrift shop where she met many great people and made life time friends. Sandi was proud of the financial contributions the Thrift Shop made to The Children's Hospital. Sandi enjoyed travel, crafts, reading, bridge and spending time with her friends and family. After Revis passed away Sandi traveled with her children, continued to see her 'lunch bunch' friends and seldom missed family dinners on Sundays. Sandi re-united with her high school sweetheart for a couple of years bringing new joy into her life. Sandi was always a positive person, full of life and a had a great a sense of humor which she practiced until the end.
