Sam Leon Torres

Sam "Carlos" Torres, 81, born on April 11, 1936, in Los Angeles , California, passed away on March 9, 2018 at 2:01 p.m. Due to an unexpected illness. He is survived by his wife, children, brother, and sisters. He was a beloved Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend.

He resided in Los Angeles , California at the time of his passing.

Sam "Carlos" served in the U.S. Army as a Antiaircraft Artillery Crewman. He separated with the rank of SP 4 under honorable conditions.

Sam "Carlos " enjoyed watching his beloved USC Trojans on television and in person every opportunity he had over the years. His other favorite
hobby was attending car shows with his friends and taking out his 48 Chevy which he cherished.

Services will commence promptly at 2:30 p.m. , Forrest Lawn Cemetery "Church of the Recessional", please come early for seating.

Reception following in Cypress Park: Rio De Los Angeles, 1900 North San Fernando Road, Los Angeles CA 90065 (Corner of Future St. and San Fernando Road).

Sam "Carlos'" wishes were to be buried at Riverside National Cemetery where his brother Greg is at rest.

Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:15 a.m.
