Glendora

Salvatore Scaffidi Saggio, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, entered into eternal rest on March 26, 2025, in Glendora, CA. He was born on March 10, 1942, in Gioiosa Marea, Sicily, and his journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to his family and a successful career as a contractor and architect for over 40 years.

Salvatore was known for his loving and generous spirit. He had a profound ability to bring people together, relishing moments spent in the company of family and friends. These gatherings were filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories, and he cherished each one deeply. His proudest accomplishment in life was his family, a testament to the love and care he poured into every moment he could share with them.

In his personal life, Salvatore found joy in many simple pleasures. A passionate cook, he delighted in preparing meals that brought the warmth of home to those around him. His culinary creations were more than just food; they were expressions of love, comfort, and togetherness that he shared generously with family and friends alike.

Salvatore is survived by his devoted spouse, Angela Saggio, and his beloved son, Rosario Saggio, along with his daughter-in-law, Lisa Saggio. His legacy continues to thrive in the hearts of his granddaughters, Damara and Marisa Saggio, along with Damara's husband Maharsh Patel.  They will always hold dear the memories of their grandfather’s love and kindness.

He rejoins his deceased family members who have preceded him: his parents, Rosario and Antoinette Scaffidi Saggio; his brother, Ignazio; his sister, Catarina Cusma; and his son, Danny Saggio. The love that Salvatore carried throughout his life for these individuals is now embraced in the peace and comfort of their reunion.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Salvatore's life and memory. Visitation will be held on April 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills. His funeral service will take place the following day, May 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in San Dimas.
