January 28, 1948 — December 22, 2019

Salvatore S. Montiforte, (Sam) 71, born on January 28, 1948, in Chicago, IL, United States, passed away December 22, 2019. He resided in Woodland Hills, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.

Sam graduated Morton West High School in Berwyn, IL in 1966. He was a member of the Wrestling, Football and Baseball teams. He then joined the Army and did a tour of duty from 1966-1968. Shortly thereafter he moved from Berwyn and relocated to Los Angeles where he met his first wife, Ghislaine Reuthe. They had two sons, Philip and Michael. Sam workied for some time as a bartender at the famous club "Pips" in Beverly Hills. He had many funny stories to share about all the celebrities he encountered over the years. He also made some life-long friendships with his co-workers, which he maintained until the time of his passing.

Sam started dating his second wife, Mary, in 1986. They married on June 15, 1991 and have one daughter, Samantha, age 23.

Sam had decided to give up bartending and go back to school and learn accounting. He and Mary started Complete Production Accounting in 1991 and Sam was at the helm until 2007, when health issues required him to close the business.

Sam was known for his smiling face and upbeat attitude. He never missed an opportunity to engage a stranger in conversation, even when it was obvious they were not interested! He loved life, his family and his God. Even through his physical suffering, he never complained, but preferred to say "The sun is up and I am alive to live another day," Sam was truly one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him.

Sam is pre-deceased by his mother, Teresa, his father, Sam, his sister Anna, and nephew, Michael.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter Samantha, sons Philip and Michael , brother Frank, nieces Jean, Teresa and Felicia, nephew Frank, Jr., granddaughters, Bella, Gigi and Anna, and grandson Felix.
