Salvador Marcelo Manrique Paje, lovingly known as “Adong” and “Bads,” passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in Mission Viejo, California, at age 85. Born in San Nicolas, Iriga, Camarines Sur, Philippines, he dedicated his life to family, faith, and service. He proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, rising to Chief Petty Officer and serving aboard the USS Ranger, USS Norfolk, and USS Tillamook, creating opportunities that allowed his loved ones to build a new life in the United States.

After his military career, Salvador became a computer programmer and business owner. A faithful Catholic and member of the Knights of Columbus, he found peace in prayer, scripture, golf, and home. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 60 years, Magdalena, and a loving father to Monica, Salvador (who preceded him in birth), Salvador II, and Samantha. He proudly cherished his grandchildren — Dominic, Khaliq, and Romeo — who carry forward his values and gentle spirit.

To those who knew him, Salvador was a man of integrity, loyalty, and subtle generosity. He cared deeply for his family, honored his heritage, and passed on the traditions, values, and pride of his culture to his children and grandchildren. His legacy endures not only in the life he built, but in the hearts he shaped and the love he leaves behind.
