Ryan Joseph Rose

12/30/1979-10/12/2024

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Ryan Joseph Rose. Ryan, son of Gary and Denise Rose, who was the kindest and most caring of souls, began his life's journey on December 30, 1979, in Pasadena, California.

As he was born during the Christmas season, he was wrapped in a large red stocking for his ride home where his two older brothers, Michael and Lane, waited anxiously to meet this new addition to the family. Ryan was seldom by himself as his older brothers adored him and loved to teach him new things. It was at his older brother's urging, he learned to both crawl and walk at an age earlier than most babies. Partly because of Ryan's early walking, his younger years were filled with adventure, (sometimes resulting in a visit to the hospital for stitches), exploration and wonderment, as well as much love and laughter.

Throughout his school years in Covina, Ryan's love of sports, especially baseball, never waned. In Little League Ryan's happiest memory was hitting a winning home run in an All-Star game, he was so incredibly happy! He went on to play high school football and baseball, however regardless of what sport Ryan played, nothing could equal the excitement of that one home run.

Ryan started community college where his goal was to become a clothing designer, especially shoes, as they had become his passion. Once he began sketching sneakers, it was nonstop with shoes he envisioned arriving home at least twice a month. So that he could afford to continue his plan of designing shoes, Ryan went to work as a salesperson, a position he would hold for many years. When Ryan's family decided to move to Temecula, this life-long resident of West Covina chose to move with them. However, after two years Ryan felt a pull to return to his friends and to familiar surroundings in Covina. We are so thankful he did as this is when he met his future wife, Danielle.

With Danielle also being a kind and loving person, she was a perfect match for Ryan. Therefore, it was not long before they married. On December 5, 2015, they were united in marriage and their dream of starting a family together began. In 2020, after several IVF rounds, they were blessed with 4-pound premie twins, Ava and Ryatt. Being a husband and father was the greatest joy of Ryan’s life. In every sense, Ryan lived for his family. He made countless sacrifices to ensure that Danielle and their precious twins, Ryatt and Ava, felt his unwavering support. Choosing to work from home was just one of the many ways he showed his dedication, allowing him to be close to them and be present in their everyday lives. He loved walking the kids to and from school and always had new shoes showing up at the house for his family of four.

Ryan loved his USC Trojans, Raiders and Lakers, but nothing compared to his love for his baseball and his Dodgers. It did not matter who was playing, if there was a game on he was watching it. He predicted the World Series this year and we know he was watching from above as we all cried and cheered for the win he wanted so badly.

Ryan’s life was taken too soon on October 12, 2024. We are devastated by the loss as Ryan was not just the backbone of his family; he was the very heart that beat with love and joy for us all.

Memorial Services will be held November 4th at 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills. We are encouraging everyone to wear Dodger blue or Dodger gear with their coolest kicks to honor Ryan's love for the team and his passion for sneakers. We thank you all for your love and prayers during this unimaginable time.
