Ruthie Delain Johnson

ObituaryRuthie Delain Johnson was born on March 22, 1937, in Coushatta, Louisiana, to the union of Charlie and Harriett Clark. She was one of twelve children. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at age 16. She and her family moved to California and became members of Bethel Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ in Compton, California. She later became an Evangelist at Lilly of the Valley Church of God in Christ, in Long Beach, California. She ministered at numerous churches, various community events and convalescent homes, uplifting many people, sharing the word of God. She made many invaluable friends along the way, and was honored with a flower shop in her name, "Ruthie and Inez flowers" in Long Beach California. She served as Church Mother at Lilly of the Valley Church of God in Christ in Long Beach, California, as well as Beautiful Gate Church of God in Christ, in Los Angeles, California. She leaves to mourn a devoted husband, Clemon Johnson; three daughters, Lisa Johnson-Moton of Paramount, CA; Teresa Haddad of San Pedro, CA; and Claudia Bishop of Long Beach,CA; granddaughter Myesha Portis of Paramount, CA; sisters Harriett Coleman of Shreveport, LA, and Vivian Jones of LA, and brother Jerry Clark of Shreveport LA; and a host of other relatives and friends
