  As a certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at the Sepulveda VA, she used her warm, loving, creative, and vibrant spirit to teach "her vets" life skills, gardening, painting, and the art of clowning.Â
  Mrs. Phillips was born in Shreveport, LA on August 8, 1939 to Alice Daniels and Rudolph Robinson. She moved to Oakland, CA with her family at the age of 3.Â
  Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter Karen Phillips (Wayne Darcey), son Nathan Phillips Sr (Michelle), grandsons Nathan Jr (Heather) and Nicholas, great granddaughters Athalia and Eloise, former husband Joe Phillips and a host of friends and co-workers.Â
  A celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 20 at 10am at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church, 1010 East Hyde Park Bl, Inglewood, CA (310) 674-6422 where she was a faithful minister and member since 1985.
