Ruth Belle Jackson-Gosenson

May 5, 1929 — January 21, 2021

Ruth Belle Jackson-Gosenson, of Eagle Rock, California went to heaven on January 21, 2021 at the age of 91.

Ruth was born to Frank and Elizabeth Gray Jackson on May 5, 1929, in Jackson, Michigan. She relocated to Southern California in 1959. Her brother, Harry E. Jackson followed in 1963. Soon thereafter, Ruth met her dear friend Zoya, while living in the Clark Residence in Los Angeles. Ruth earned an Associate in Arts degree from Los Angeles City College in 1982.

Ruth worked at Security Pacific Bank where she made many life-long friends, including Joan, with whom she loved to travel and crafted many art projects with. She later sold real estate through Jordanelli Realtors in Eagle Rock until her retirement in 1994.

She was married to Arthur R. Gosenson, of Eagle Rock, CA on November 15, 1992 until his death in 2009. Arthur's life for those seventeen years after the death of his first wife, was truly enriched by the love he and Ruth shared. They celebrated life together and loved traveling and cruised with friends and family.

Ruth became active in the Bob Larsen Ministries and mentored many people throughout her years after the passing of her husband.

Living on her own, Ruth demonstrated her fierce independence, and was known, even throughout this last year of the Covid-19 pandemic, to drive herself to doctor appointments and grocery shopping. She especially missed seeing her friends from Christian Assembly Church as well as her dear neighbors during this difficult time.

Surviving her are: Brother Harry Jackson of Riverside; Stepsons Spencer (Margaret) Gosenson of Ventura, CA, and Josua (Catherine) Gosenson of Prescott Valley, AZ; along with three grandchildren, Melissa, Genevieve, and Lucas and three great-grandchildren, Francesca, Spencer, and Helena Joy.

Ruth's faith informed her life choices as she was always full of hope, sincerity, and love for all who were fortunate enough to have known her. We thank God for her and will miss her greatly. Her memory is held in our hearts.

There will be a graveside service on March 11 at Forest Lawn Covina Hills.
A Celebration of Ruth's Life will take place late Spring.
Family requests any remembrances be made in her name to the Salvation Army, her favorite charity.
