Ruth Helen Haraldson

Ruth Helen Haraldson, 88, born on September 12, 1924, in Benson, Minnesota, passed away November 16, 2012. She resided in Long Beach, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Ruth Rognlin was born to Edward and Olina (Bjerkie) Rognlin on September 12,1924 in Benson, Minnesota. She was one of nine children that spent her youth in Minnesota. Ruth moved to Chicago and worked at Douglas Aircraft Plant.While living in Chicago, Ruth married Ardie Haradson on September 9,1944. They
returned to Minnesota in 1946 where they rasied three children and farmed in the Ashby area.

In 1959 they moved to Fargo,North Dakota and Ruth worked at the Woolworth Lunch Counter, and then at the Veterans Hospital. In 1964 she transfered to the Veterans Hospital in Long Beach,California and continued to work until she retired in 1979.

Ruth had a love for embroidery and created several hundreds of tablecloths and pillowcases.She enjoyed her family and will be remembered for generosity toward them.

She is survived by two children,Sharon Young(Kenneth) of Long Beach,Ca;Richard Haraldson(Doris),in Fargo,ND;eight grandchildren;20 great gandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ardie and son David Haraldson.
