Ruth Ofelia Bernstein

Ruth Ofelia Bernstein, 82, born on August 31, 1939, in Mercedes, TX, United States, passed away April 9, 2022. She resided in La Verne, CA at the time of her passing. She is survived by her daughters, Abigail Crovisier and Sasha Williams, and her grandson Corey Crovisier. Ruth obtained her masters degree in nursing administration from California State Los Angeles University. She worked as a nurse for LA County USC Medical Center, and a nurse manager at both Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar, and San Dimas Community Hospital. She retired from San Dimas after working over 40 years in the medical field. Ruth met her husband Gerald S. Bernstein while the two were working at LA County USC and were married for XX years before his passing in 2001. Ruth was an avid USC Trojans fan and enjoyed attending the games with friends and family. Ruth was a devoted mother and wife and friends remember her for her kind and generous nature. Ruth loved to travel, taking many trips with her husband all around the world, as well as traveling with her daughters and her siblings. Ruth had recently been living at Hillside in La Verne the six months prior to her death. While only there a short period of time, she made a lasting impact on everyone she came into contact with and is remembered fondly by all who knew her.
