It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Ruth Mary Almaguer. She peacefully passed away at her home in Huntington Beach on Friday July 15th, 2022. She was born February 15th, 1936, in Compton, CA the 3rd of 7 children. In 1953, she graduated from Long Beach Poly High School, where she was a great student and member of the tennis team. She married Raymond Nieto in 1956 at the age of 18. They settled In Westminster and later moved to Huntington Beach in 1969. Together they raised 4 children

She retired from Southern California Edison after 40 hardworking years. She began her interest in music at an early age which included singing, playing piano and guitar. She continued this interest throughout her life, taking part in numerous musical groups. Ruth took immense pride in her music. She especially enjoyed performing with her trio Twilight Strings, where she sang harmony and played guitar. In addition to her musical talents, she was a very gifted seamstress. Aside from her numerous talents she also enjoyed playing slots at the casino and lotto scratchers. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Not only was Ruth a wonderful mother and grandmother, but she was also a guardian angel for many throughout her life. No matter the circumstances Ruth was always there with to lend a helping hand with an open heart free of judgement.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Nieto and Tim Nieto 11 grandchildren; David Canchola, Jasmine Bush, Rayette Nieto, Raymond Nieto, Timmy Ray (Isabell) Nieto, Chezaray Nieto, Brittani Nieto, Steven Nieto, Timmy Nieto, Tiana (Scott) Nieto-Davidson, and Makayla Nieto.
7 Great Grandchildren; Aryanna, Leilonie, Jaxon, Everette, Mackenzie, Layne and Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by: Her daughter Robin, Son Raymond "Butch" Nieto, Parents; Seferino and Candelaria Herrera, siblings; Raymond , Joan, Seferino Jr. , Joseph, Eileen, Eugene and Judy, and Grandson Jeremy Nieto.
