Russell Junior Lewis, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026. Born on June 10, 1946, in Long Beach, Russell was proud to call Long Beach his home throughout his life.

Russell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Davis Lewis; his sons, Guy Lewis and Corey Lewis; his three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Russell earned his Marketing degree from California State University, Long Beach. He was known as a hardworking and generous man who always cared deeply for his family and those around him.

One of Russell’s greatest passions was fishing. He especially enjoyed both lake and ocean fishing, finding peace and happiness out on the water. He also loved barbecuing for family and friends. In his later years, he treasured the simple moments spent playing chess with his grandson Owen, creating memories that his family will forever hold close to their hearts.

Russell will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, generosity, and deep love for his family and friends. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the love he shared with those around him.
