Rusmelito Tengco

September 7, 1957 — May 31, 2023

Rusmelito "Junie" Tengco, 65, of Long Beach, CA, passed away on May 31st after a valiant battle with Thymus cancer.

Rusmelito was born on September 7th, 1957 to Rustico and Carmelita Tengco in Manila, Philippines. He is the youngest of the five siblings. After graduating from Philippine Normal High School in 1975, he went on to study Electrical Engineering at Adamson University. Prior to finishing, he moved to Carson, CA with his Mother and Father.

After moving to the US, he worked various jobs in his field of work to which he eventually earned the title CAD Electrical Designer.

In 1979, Rusmelito met Arabella Petisme by chance. Their love story is what one would say "Beautiful." Although, it did not start out Romantically-- from what formed from a friendship turned into "True love"; they were Soulmates. They were married for 40 wonderful years, alongside their daughter, Allysa and son, Joel.

Rusmelito "Junie" was a kind and gentle soul. He never asked for more in life, other than being thankful for all that he had. The love he had for his Family and Friends were shown through his unique character. Always laughing and forever smiling.

For anyone who knew "Junie" knew his love and passion after his family was his music. He was a bass guitar player and enjoyed expressing his happiness in what brought him joy in life through it.

His life may have been simple, but his greatest treasures in life was his Family. Although he is no longer here with us, he will be playing his bass guitar up above while watching over his Family and loved ones.
