Rubin Vargas

Rubin Vargas, 64, passed away too soon on December 24, 2021. After a long battle with illness Rubin quietly endured, confident he would overcome and share his testimony with others. After his most recent prolonged hospital stay, his battle ended with his loved ones by his side.

Rubin graduated from Bronson Technical and worked as an Appliance Technician for over 35 years with General Electric (GE). Seven years ago, Rubin retired his GE work van and spent his time at home caring for his animals, spending time with his wife and family that would come visit. He would always make himself available for a friend in need.

As an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, enjoyed football season, good food and friendly banter at home or local spot with friends and family watching the game.
Rubin made friends everywhere he went and has friendships that have continued since childhood.

Rubin is survived by his wife of 26 years, Deneen; two daughters, Ruby and Theresa; five grandchildren, Louie, Anthony, Jasmine, David and Charlotte; eight great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Joseph, Anthony, Hailey, Mathew, Jonathan, Anyda and baby Lopez; seven siblings, Johnny, Joshua, Angelita, David, Eliseo, Mary and Elias; and five fur babies. Preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Elvira and his sister Vera.

As a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Rubin would lend an ear, a hand or just some good advice.

Rubin's celebration of life and burial service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022.

We will have a closed casket viewing from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Forest Lawn Tribute Hall. This will be the time you can come and share stories or pay tribute to Rubin.

The funeral will begin at 2:30 pm at Forest Lawn Church of the Heritage. The service is one hour and then we will be proceeding to the burial site where Rubin will be laid to rest.
