A devoted husband, Ruben is survived by his beloved wife, Yamilet Garcia and dog, Bhikhu. He cherished his family deeply and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Ruben's mother, Germaine Johnson, and father, Adolfo Garcia, will forever hold close the memories of a son whose spirit and joy brightened their lives. He is also survived by his sister, Vivian Garcia, and his uncle, Mickey Johnson, as well as his grandfather, James Greycloud, nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Ruben had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He delighted in music, sports and film, spending countless hours enjoying the rhythms and scores that brought him joy. A true lover of the great outdoors, Ruben found peace and fulfillment in camping and nature, always eager to explore the beauty just beyond his doorstep. His great sense of humor created moments of warmth and connection with friends and family, showing that he truly valued the simple pleasures in life.

In honoring Ruben's memory, a funeral service will be held on October 3, 2025, at the Forest Lawn - Glendale - Church of the Recessional. The service will commence at 5:00 PM, with a gathering to celebrate his life continuing until 9:00 PM.
