Roza Pakhchyan

July 15, 1942 — August 7, 2024

Roza Pakhchyan, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of many, bid farewell to this world on August 7, 2024. Her journey began in the ancient city of Damaskus, Syria, on July 15, 1942, as the cherished daughter of Mary and Yervand Pakhchyan. Born into a family touched by the hardships of the Armenian Genocide, she was their firstborn, followed by her younger sister Alis and brother Eduard.

Educated in Armenia, Roza completed her high school education surrounded by a circle of dear friends. Her determination led her to master the art of seamstressing, a skill she honed diligently before embarking on a 20-year career at the post office. A dedicated employee, she found fulfillment in the camaraderie of her colleagues and the daily tasks that brought purpose to her life.

In 1965, fate intertwined her path with Grigor Aleksanyan's, and they married soon after. Together, they embraced the joys and challenges of marriage, welcoming two children into their loving home—Robert and Gaiane. In 1988, seeking a new beginning amidst the upheavals in the USSR, the family set foot on American soil, seeking opportunities and laying the foundation for a brighter future.

Roza's essence was captured in her vibrant personality—full of life, tough yet selfless, and endlessly giving. She found solace in the simple pleasures of the outdoors, often found seated outside, offering her witty reminder, "Don't you want to get some air?" Her laughter echoed through the years, a comforting melody in the lives of all who knew her.

Her legacy extended to four grandchildren, the light of her life, whom she adored and helped nurture. Her selflessness knew no bounds, as she made countless sacrifices for her children and grandchildren, embodying the true essence of unwavering love and devotion.

As illness dimmed her physical vitality in later years, Roza faced each day with grace and resilience. A fall in May marked a turning point, leading to a challenging battle with a traumatic brain injury that tested her strength. On August 9th, 2024, at 9:17 pm, surrounded by the love of her family, she peacefully closed her eyes, bidding adieu to a life well-lived, overcoming pain and restlessness to find eternal peace in God's paradise.

Services to honor and remember Roza Pakhchyan will be held on August 22, 2024, from 2:30 pm at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills - Old North Church, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068, United States. The Funeral Service will provide an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects and commemorate a life of love and legacy.

In the tapestry of life, Roza's thread will forever be interwoven with the memories of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loving family: her sister, Alice Pakhchyan, and brother, Eduard Pakhchyan, her son Robert Aleksanyan and his family, daughter Gaiane Galadjian and her fammily. In the realm beyond, she is reunited with her beloved mother, Mary Pakhchyan, father, Yervand Pakhchyan, and husband, Grigor Aleksanyan.

May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a guiding light for all who cherish her presence. Roza Pakhchyan's legacy of love and resilience will forever remain etched in the annals of time, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart that knew no bounds.
