Roy Charles Fahrenkopf

After an unexpected battle with cancer, Roy Charles Fahrenkopf died on April 19, 2019 in Simi Valley, CA at the age of 73. He leaves behind His wife, Annette; his son, Michael his daughters, Marti and Crissi.
Roy, affectionately known as Buddy, was born on March 8th 1946, in Los Angeles, CA to father Raymond Fahrenkopf and mother Harriet Fahrenkopf, who predeceased him. He grew up in a loving family with one sister Audrey Blatter. After graduating high school Buddy enlisted in the United States Air Force where he excelled as a Staff Sergeant in aeronautical mechanics and engineering. He served four years and received an honorable discharge on December 1969.
Buddy was a driven professional with a career totaling 38 dedicated years at Aviall as a mechanical engineer in the quality assurance process of rebuilding and repairing helicopter engines. He enjoyed an early retirement filled with hobbies of tinkering with firearms, camping, traveling and experiencing exciting new places and interesting new people.
Buddy will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery at the family plot in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Kaiser Permanente Hospital for their constant, attentive treatment; and the Forest Lawn Funeral Home, for making the arrangements.
