Roy W. "Buddy" Collins, age 63 of Danville, passed away peacefully on Friday August 2, 2013 at Exeter Hospital, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born on February 21, 1950 in Exeter, NH the son of the late Roy H. and Evelyn (Harris) Collins. Buddy was raised in Danville, NH and had attended Timberlane High School.

Buddy comes from a long line of carpenters and builders. He owned and operated G & R Builders in Danville, NH for over 30 years.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Whether he was hunting black bear or deer, with his black powder rifle or bow, he didn't care….he was a happy man. Buddy was also an avid gardener who enjoyed canning. He was a real family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and teaching them about the outdoors and how to hunt.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Holly J. (Williams) Collins of Danville, NH. His two sons; Keith M. Collins and his wife, Kari of Derry, NH and Joshua R. Collins of Danville, NH. Three brothers; Gary Collins and his wife, Pamela of Effingham, NH, Wayne Collins of Manchester, NH and Bruce Collins and his wife, Cheryl of Wolfeboro, NH. His grandson, Quentin H. Smith of Portland, ME and granddaughters; Karlee J. Collins and Jackie Pierce, both of Derry, NH also survive him.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday August 7, 2013 from 5 – 7:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A) Plaistow, NH 03865. Funeral services will take place on Thursday August 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
