Rouzas R. Khoylian

Rouzas R. Khoylian, 96, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2022 at his home in Glendale, CA. He was born in his beloved city of Tabriz, Iran to Raphael and Vartanoush Khoylian. In 1963 he emigrated to the Unites States with his family, settling in Belmont, Massachusetts. With his business partner, Jack Gonya, he founded Design & Process Engineering, a manufacturer of innovative and award winning industrial food processing equipment which was later acquired by Sandvik Group. After retiring, he and his wife, Janet, relocated to Glendale, California, where he happily reconnected with many childhood friends from Iran. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and loyal friend -- described by all who knew him as "kind and generous". He loved to travel and was an avid tennis player and chess lover.

He is survived by his son, Armen Khoylian; his daughter, Roubina Khoylian; his daughter and son-in-law, Rima and Donnell Cameron; is granddaughters, Anya Vertanessian, Grace Vertanessian, Sabrina Gregorian; and his step-grandson, Ezroy Cameron. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Janet (nee Babajanian), his eldest son, Razmik, and his sister, Roubina Yoel.
