Rosita Saldaña

Rosita Saldaña, affectionately known to many as Ima and Tia Rosing, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, in Arleta, California, on her 91st birthday. Born Rosita Paule Icban on March 24, 1934, in Lubao, Pampanga, she led a life with love and dedication to family.

A devoted mother, Rosita's pride stemmed from her ability to raise successful children, instilling in them the values of hard work and compassion. Her legacy is carried on by her beloved children: Claudio Saldaña, Feli Lagman, Alejandro Saldaña, Monet Fassoth, Mario Saldaña, Galla Saldaña, Marciano Saldaña, and Larry Saldaña, as well as her treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. Her family was the cornerstone of her existence, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Rosita was not just a mother; she was a remarkable cook. Her signature Filipino dishes were well-known among relatives and friends alike, creating lasting memories around family gatherings and celebrations. She often traveled, always eager to explore new places while sharing stories and laughter with her family.

Those who knew Rosita would describe her as beautiful, gentle, regal, and graceful. She possessed an even more beautiful soul that touched the hearts of many. Her kindness and spirit will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rosita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Demetrio Joaquin Saldaña. While their time together has come to an end, her family takes comfort in the profound impact she made in their lives.

A visitation will be held in her honor on April 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Glendale, located at 1712 South Glendale Avenue, Glendale, CA 91205.
