With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rosita "Rose" Aquino, who left this world on April 21, 2025, at the age of 92 in Cypress, California. Born on March 23, 1933, in Baguio City, Philippines, Rose's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and resilience, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rose lived a life dedicated to her family, cherishing each moment with her loved ones. She was a beloved mother to her five sons: Robert, Rodolfo, Rocky, and Francisco, Jr., along with her late son Romeo, whose memory remains a cherished part of the family's legacy. Rose's nurturing spirit also extended to her daughters, Georgina Cadalin and Katrina Wilma Estocapio, who carry forward her strength and wisdom.
Rose is survived by her dear sister Christine, a bond that has been a source of comfort and companionship through the decades. She was an integral part of her family's lives, finding joy in the heartwarming moments shared with her brothers-in-law, Joseph Dagan, and son-in-law Benjie. The loving arms of her daughters-in-law, Marie, Thelma, Amy, and Eloha, as well as the spouses of her grandkids - Juvelle, Marvin, Anna and Mike, encircled her, affirming the enduring bonds of family that she so passionately cultivated.
The tales Rose has shared with her grandchildren—Melissa, Matthew, Regina, Stephanie, Kenneth, Jonathan James, Jennifer Mae, Geraldine, Angelica, Kayin, Carmela, and Ryan—will resonate for generations. Each grandchild carries her spirit in their hearts, embodying the lessons of love and kindness she imparted. Rose was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Victoria, Robert, Ava, Kobe, Nova, Brighton, Izo Cadence, and Ahvin, who will grow up knowing the legacy of the remarkable woman they were lucky to call Grandma.
Rose's love for her family was rivaled only by the depth of her memories of those she has lost. She is now reunited with her cherished parents, Olive and Marcelino Taga, and her siblings, Annie, Priscilla, Carmen, Alice, Joseph, James, and Ernest, who have paved the way for her into the everlasting embrace of love and light.
Her remarkable journey will be celebrated with visitation on May 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Patriots Chapel, located at 4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress, CA. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and honoring her life during the funeral service on May 9, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Saint Irenaeus Catholic Church, situated at 5201 Evergreen Ave, Cypress, CA.
