Rosie Parris

With heavy hearts we regret to announce that Rosie Parris, 61, of Burbank CA, passed away July 22, 2023. After a struggle with cancer, surrounded by her family, she went to see the Lord. She resided in Burbank, CA at the time of her passing. She was a loving, caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. Rosie was born Rosa Maria Chaides  in Los Angeles CA, January 28, 1962 to Benjamin and Blanca (Acosta) Chaides. She graduated Bell Gardens High School, and went on to get her degree in Child Care and Development. In 1984 she met Edwin Parris. They wed in 1990 and had 3 children, Chantala, Edwin Jr., and Julia. She enjoyed her passion, working for the Burbank Unified School District as a ESL teacher for elementry and adult students. She concluded her path at Burbank High School as the Attendance clerk. Rosie was happiest when she hosted family and friend events at the Parris houshold. Her love and passion for singing eventually led her to join the Saint Finbar church choir. She had many a hobby, photo album design, gift basket making, dried flower arrangements, jewerly design, to buying and selling antique trinkets and figurines. She always brought a smile and laughter to the household with her dance moves, singing, and Rosie-isums. She enjoyed a quiet evening with a good book, glass of wine, and great music. She had a beautiful personality, that was bast in kindness, politeness, and with love and respect. All of that touched everyone she met. She is predeceased by her father Benjamin. She is survived by brothers Benjamin (Sheree) and Richard (Christine)Chaides, and sisters Maria Angulo and Emma (Robert) Tovar. She loved, adored and embraced all her Brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, father and mother-in-laws, grandma-in-law, and all her nieces and nephews, and the love lasting bond of her friends, María, Martha, Angie, Auggie, and Gretel.
