Rosemarie Espina Pastoriza Paz Joined Our Creator Peacefully On April 19, 2020 At
Home In Carson, California In The Presence Of Her Loving Family & Friends.
Rosemarie was born on March 1, 1954 in Siana, Mainit, Surigao Del Norte,
Philippines to Dominico Pastoriza & Victoria Espina. She was the 4th of 9 siblings.
She attended Bayugan Elementary School in Agusan Del Sur. She finished high school
at Cabarrus Catholic School in Sipalay, Negros Occidental. She Often Participated &
Won In Dance & Declamation Competitions. In 1975 she graduated from Southern
Islands Hospital School of Nursing in Cebu, earning a degree as a Graduate Nurse.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at San Pedro College in Davao
City in 1978 & passed the Board of Nursing Licensure to become a Registered Nurse.
While working as a Nurse, She Met & Married The Love Of Her Life, Abraham Paz in
January of 1985. Rosemarie & Abraham Migrated To The United States in Los
Angeles, California. They had 2 children: Nathaniel, born in March of 1987 & Daryl in
October 1990. They achieved the American Dream of owning their own home in
Carson, California. She worked as a Nurse at several Facilities such as Sunnyside
Nursing Home in Carson, St. Christopher Convalescent Home in Signal Hill, Del Amo
Skilled Nursing Facility in Torrance, San Pedro Peninsula Hospital in San Pedro, &
Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance. Rosemarie Retired in September of
2013 at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Department of Health County of Los Angeles.
She devoted over 35 years of Excellent Service in her Nursing Career. Rosemarie
loved to travel. She rang the 2006 New Year's Eve at Times Square, New York City,
had a Cup of Coffee at the Original Starbucks in Seattle, Washington, rode the
"Maiden of the Mist" boat to cruise the Horseshoe Waterfalls in Niagara, Canada,
ate an Arm's Length of King Crab Legs in Juneau, Alaska, sunbathed on the Sandy
Beaches of Honolulu, Hawaii, played the Slots in Las Vegas, sailed the Pacifc Ocean of
Cabo San Lucas Baja, California, had Tacos in Ensenada, Mexico, shopped in
Singapore, visited the Mosques of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, ate the famous Authentic
Pho of Saigon, Vietnam, rode elephants in Thailand, brought home Tulips from Amsterdam,
ate Waffles in Brussels, Belgium, prayed in the Cathedrals of Vienna, Austria, took a Rainy Shower
in Luxembourg, & brought home Chunks of the Berlin Wall from Germany. She was a
Fine Quality Cook & enjoyed cooking Filipino Dishes such as "Menudo", "Beringhe" &
"Banio De Maria" (Meatloaf). She had fun gardening & her favorite Flowers were
Red & Pink Roses. She liked Watching Filipino Movies at Carson Mall Every Senior
Citizen Monday & Discounted Tuesdays. She also loved to watch Filipino Television
Soap Operas on the Thru Filipino Channel (TFC) & GMA Filipino Television Station
here in Los Angeles & musical shows like "ASAP", comedy series "Banana Split",
"Manalito Manaloto", & Action Daily Teleserye "Ang Probinsyano". "Rosemarie's
Special Memories Will Bring Us Happiness To Cherish, That She Will Always Be In Our
Hearts & Will Never Be Forgotten". Rosemarie Espina Pastoriza Paz is survived by her
husband Abraham, their 2 sons, Nathaniel & Daryl; Daughter-In-Law, Amelita Joy; &
her 3 Grandchildren; Lorenzo Jett (6), Dante Romeo (3), & Arya Rose (2).
