Rosel Bales

Rosel Bales, beloved wife, mother, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 69 in Cerritos, CA. She was born on June 29, 1954, in Capis, Philippines. Rosel's passing occurred peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones, bringing comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Rosel had a remarkable career in the insurance industry as a claims examiner. She was known for her meticulous attention to detail and her unwavering commitment to serving others. Her colleagues respected her expertise and admired her dedication to her work.

Beyond her successful profession, Rosel led a vibrant and fulfilling life outside of the office. She had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing delicious meals for family gatherings. Rosel's culinary skills were unmatched, and she had a special talent for creating traditional Filipino dishes that left everyone craving for more.

In addition to her culinary prowess, Rosel possessed an array of talents. She was a true jack of all trades - whether it be crafting, sewing, or gardening - she always knew how to do it with finesse. Her creativity shone through every project she undertook, whether it was an emergency pant or dress hem line alteration or creating show costumes for her daughter, she left behind beautiful creations that will be cherished by her family. 

Aside from her hobbies and interests, Rosel took great pride in maintaining her appearance. Shopping was not just an activity for her; it was a form of exercise and self-expression. The way she carried herself with poise and elegance served as an inspiration to all who knew her.

Rosel's warm heart and compassionate nature made her an exceptional confidant and advisor. People loved sitting down with her for long conversations, seeking guidance or simply finding comfort in their shared moments together. Her kindness knew no bounds as she listened attentively and provided constructive criticism when needed.

One of Rosel's proudest accomplishments was her commitment to serving the Holy Family Catholic Church. She touched many lives within the community as a lector and a eucharistic minister. Rosel also played an integral role as a member of the convalidation team, helping couples unite in marriage through the sacrament of matrimony.

Rosel's legacy will forever reside in the hearts of her surviving family. Her son, Raynell Bales, and daughter, Rosemary Bales, remember their mother fondly as a beacon of love and strength. Rosel's unwavering support and unconditional love guided her children throughout their lives, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

To honor Rosel's memory and celebrate the remarkable life she lived, visitation services will be held on January 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Cypress Room in Cypress, CA. A vigil and rosary will take place at 6:30pm.
A funeral service will take place the following day, January 11, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Artesia, CA

Rosel Bales lived a life filled with love, dedication, and compassion for others. Her presence radiated warmth and comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
