Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Rose Hernandez Manuel passed away in Los Angeles, CA on May 22, 2016, just ten days shy of her 75th birthday. Rose was born on June 1, 1941, in Laoag City, Philippines. She studied at St. Williams College in Laoag and graduated from Mary Child School for Midwifery. She was a midwife for the Laoag City Health Center formerly known as Periculture.

In 1970 Rose married Rizalino D. Manuel. Rose owned and operated several child care facilities in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. She is known to many as their "2nd mom". Rose was devoted to her family, her Catholic faith and the Filipino Community -- always willing and happy to help and server others.

Rose will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Rose is survived by her husband, her daughter and two sons, and her two grandchildren. She is resting in peace with the Lord her God.
