Rose Cohn

Rose Cohn, 99, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on September 27, 2012 after a brave battle with congestive heart failure. She was born in N.Y. to Becky and Morris Cohen on November 20, 1912 and gradually moved from Great Neck, N.Y. to Lake Worth, Fla. with her husband and hundreds of friends in the 1970's. Seven years ago, Rose and her husband relocated to Rancho Mirage to be closer to family. She is survived by her loving 100-year-old husband of 79 years, Marvin and her adoring daughters, Carole Sheppard of Bakersfield, Calif. and Barbara Keller (Jerry Keller) of Rancho Mirage, Calif. Also surviving Rose are her four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Rose was known for her unsurpassed affection and love for her family and friends. She was an inspiration to those who had the privilege to know her. Her funeral will take place on Sunday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, Calif. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rose's honor to a charity that captured her heart, connecting teenagers with Holocaust survivors, The Sunshine Circle, P.O.
