Rosaura L. Moreno

Rosaura Moreno, a longtime resident of the Coachella Valley, passed away on Monday March 13, 2017 at the age of 101. She was born on January 18, 1916 in Mexico to Jose and Concepcion (Alarcon) Lopez. Rosaura worked for Berner Judd in Indio for over 20 years. Rosaura is survived by her sons Henry Moreno of Chandler, Ariz., Edward Moreno, Jr. of La Quinta, Calif., and Martin (Mary) Moreno of Hawaii; grandsons Ken (Laura) Moreno, Michael (Cindy) Moreno, Larry Moreno, Derrick (Erin) Moreno, Darren (Connie) Moreno, and Andy (Sophie) Moreno; granddaughters, Linda (Christian) Smith, Angelique Moreno, Chrissie (Ken) Smith and many great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind one sister, Rosalina (Al) Concha and brother, Ruben Lopez. Rosaura was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Moreno, Sr.; her son, Ernie Moreno; her sister, Romelia Moreno; and her brother, Raymond Lopez. A Rosary will be held in the Coachella Chapel at Forest Lawn in Coachella on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Mass will be said on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Soledad Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Coachella Valley Cemetery in Coachella.
