Rosario (Chayo) Hernandez, 79, born on October 31, 1946, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, passed away on March 11, 2026. At the time of her passing, she resided in Mecca, California.

Rosario will be remembered for her strength, love, and the care she gave to those around her. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and the beloved widow of Roberto Hernandez, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to her family and community. 

She is survived by her five children: Dolores, Isabel, Maritza, Roberto Jr., and Magdalena; her seventeen grandchildren: Jessica, Jaime, Jasmin, Yolanda, Melissa, Yvonne, Marina, Karlos, Martin, Jorge, Jonathan, Rey, Francisco, Adilene, Yaretzi, Joshua, and Roberto III; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn in Coachella, California.

Rosario Hernandez will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Fue una madre, abuela y bisabuela dedicada, y la querida viuda de Roberto Hernandez, cuyo recuerdo llevó siempre en su corazón. Su presencia brindaba consuelo y alegría a su familia y comunidad.
