Rosario Mamaid

Rosario Mamaid, a beloved sister, mother, wife, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on December 15, 1935, in Pasay City, Philippines, and spent her final years in the comforting embrace of Los Angeles, CA. The arrangements to honor her memory are being handled with care by Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills, CA.

Rosario's life was marked by her deep love and devotion to her family. As a sister, she forged unbreakable bonds with her siblings. Rosario's role as a mother was her true calling, and she embraced it with an immeasurable amount of love. Her six children were the center of her universe, and she dedicated herself to their happiness and success. Her unwavering commitment and nurturing nature shaped their lives, providing them with a strong foundation on which to build their own futures.

Her role as a wife was one of enduring partnership and deep affection. Rosario and her beloved spouse shared a profound bond, weathering life's challenges together and finding joy in each other's company. Their love served as a beacon of inspiration, reminding others of the power and beauty of a lifelong commitment.

Rosario's greatest joy came from being a grandmother to her nine adoring grandchildren. They brought light and laughter into her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. From imparting wisdom to showering them with love, she played an instrumental role in shaping their character and encouraging their dreams.

Alongside her familial roles, Rosario touched the lives of many others with her warm heart and genuine kindness. Her presence had a way of making everyone feel valued and loved. Rosario Mamaid leaves behind a rich legacy of love, resilience, and family values. She is survived by her six children, namely Arleen (Len), Alfredo (Freddie), Elmer (Bobby), Noel, Bernadette (Didith) and Celso Jr. (Jojo); daughters-in-law, Nelda, Marinel, Mari Cris, Marlyn, Evangeline (Vange) and son-in-law Alex;  and nine grandchildren, Patrick, Kathryn Dianne, Nikka, Janna, Jervyn, Carl, Maria Catherine (Ria), Celine Aubrey (Abby), Celine Andrei (Aien); who will all forever hold her memory dear in their hearts. Her spirit will continue to shine through the lives of her loved ones, serving as a beacon of strength and inspiration.

During this time of mourning, family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Rosario Mamaid. They will share cherished memories, recount stories of her remarkable journey, and find solace in one another's support. Although she is no longer physically present, her spirit will forever be alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
