It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Loidy Lucero Basuel. She departed this world surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength that will forever guide and inspire us.

My mother was the heart and soul of our family. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for. Her gentle smile, warm hugs, feisty spirit and wise counsel were constants in my life, shaping me into who I am today.

She dedicated herself to her family, always putting our needs above her own. Her nurturing spirit was evident in every meal she cooked, every story she shared, and every moment she spent with us. Beyond her love for her family, she was a loyal friend, a supportive church member, and a kind soul to all who knew her.

Her passions were many—whether traveling to see friends and family, helping others in any capacity, or volunteering in the church, she approached everything with dedication and heart. She taught us the importance of hard work, honesty, and above all, love.

Though our hearts ache with loss, we find comfort in the beautiful memories we shared and the lessons she imparted. She showed us how to live with grace and to love without limits. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in all of us.

We invite all friends and family to celebrate her life and honor her memory at the services to be held at Forest Lawn Cypress, where we can share stories, laughter, and tears, just as she would have wanted.

Mom, thank you for every sacrifice, every embrace, and every word of wisdom. Your love will forever be our guiding light. Rest in peace.
