Rosalyn Lorraine Wills

Rosalyn Lorraine Wills, 95, born on May 9, 1919, in Los Angeles, CA, passed away August 19, 2014. She resided in Palm Springs, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, CA.. Rosalyn lived in the desert area for 30 plus years and wanted to live no where else. She loved the desert!. Rosalyn (Roz) danced for two years with the Palm Springs Follies.and to become a "Follies Girl" she learned to tap dance at the age of 77, at 80 she was a member. Her earlier years were spent in Los Angeles performing in theater and as an opera singer with several prestigious companies. Rosalyn's two children Bill and Laura were her pride and joy. Bill, a father of 5 children (4 girls, one boy) and Laura, a visual artist and dancer, also prided themselves in being graced by a mother who taught them to love God . Be "good kids" as she would always tell them. Her greatest attribute and legacy was her beauty both inside and out and her kindness and love to all those who knew her. Roz was known as "Honey" to her children and those in the family. She would tell Laura to 'leave room for the birds to fly" - in other words, give time in the day to slow down and rest. The prayer card at her lovely memorial reception Saturday, August 23rd, quoted scripture Psalm 139: 9-10 as follows: "If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me."
