Rosalind Varela Martinez

Rosalind Varela Martinez, 53, born on August 17, 1966, in Los Angeles, CA, United States, passed away June 4, 2020. She resided in North Hills, CA at the time of her passing. Rosalind is survived by her four children, James, Catherine, Joshua, and Chloe; she is further survived by her 5 siblings, John, Erolinda, David, Ruth, and Lazarita.


Rosalind received her Bachelor of Arts from UCLA with a major in English. She accomplished this while being a single mother of 2 young children. She was the first in her family to graduate from University. She furthered her education by studying Law independently. Her perseverance and tenacity was an inspiration to those around her and will be a lasting imprint of what her life represented.


Rosie was a devoted christian who chose to spread the word of God in all circumstances. Even in her most challenging of times, she used it as an opportunity to share her love of God almighty and bring hope to others.


She was a vivacious spirit with a thirst for life. You would always find Rosie exploring new avenues to find adventure, even with her two children and later 4 children graciously by her side. Her smile was contagious and her energy was a light in so many that had the privilege of knowing her.


Rosie will be missed as fiercely as she is loved.
