Rosalie Reyes

January 6, 1975 — July 16, 2024

Cerritos, California

Following a courageous four-year battle with ovarian cancer, Rosalie Baladad Tiong Reyes passed away on July 16, 2024 at age 49 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Rosalie was born on January 6, 1975 in the small province of Banog Norte, Bani, Pangasinan, Philippines to Susana Baladad and Pedro Tiong. She immigrated to the United States at 4 years old and lived in Long Beach, California with her siblings Roger and Carolyn. Rosalie was a devoted daughter of Christ, a loving wife of Rommel, and supportive mother of Kainoa Riley and Kylie Rose.

Rosalie was fierce. She was a fervent believer in Christ and put her faith in God first. She was baptized on November 13, 2014 and despite facing challenges in her health, she prioritized her trust in God above everything else. She was diagnosed with cancer in January 2020 and lost her mother Susana in March 2020. Due to Covid-19, she did not have the opportunity to say her final farewell to her beloved mother, which was a truly heartbreaking moment in her life. However, her unwavering faith carried her through her most difficult days, trusting in God, she dedicated her life to being faithful and persisted in her fight against cancer until the very end.

Rosalie loved deeply. She met Rommel at the end of their senior year at Long Beach Poly High School. Married nearly 24 years, these high school sweethearts created a beautiful life together with their children Kainoa and Kylie. Rosalie loved her family deeply, spent a lot of quality time and shared beautiful moments together. They enjoyed traveling and checking places off on Rosalie’s travel list. She was Rommel’s best friend, confidant and encourager. They shared many nights planning their adventures, laughing together and at one another, and praying for their family and the people they loved. As a mother, she continued to support and encourage Kainoa and Kylie to be the best versions of themselves, follow their dreams, while remaining humble and faithful in Christ.

Rosalie was a true and loyal friend. She nurtured her friendships and continued to show kindness, empathy, and compassion as she related to and connected with others. She is loved by all and has made an impact on so many others as she listened, cared, engaged, and showed interest in our lives. She was trustworthy and dependable. We all can remember the times she stood by our sides through good times and bad.

While we mourn the loss of Rosalie, we find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and has reunited with her mother Susana in heaven. We've been inspired to live life fully with faith, hope, and love. In honor of Rosalie’s legacy and love for all of us, let's embrace every irreplaceable moment in life.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request contributions towards supporting Kainoa and Kylie, in their college journey. Your thoughtfulness and generosity during this difficult time is deeply appreciated and will make a meaningful difference in their educational endeavors. Thank you in advance for sending your monetary legacy gifts for Kainoa and Kylie via Zelle or Venmo 562.760.9569
