Rosa Angelica Martinez

Rosa Angelica Martinez, 96, born in El Salvador on September 15, 1929. She is now united with her youngest son Moises, in which he passed on December 30th, 2023 making it one of the hardest times in her life. Rosa Angelica since the age of 7 years old has always been a hard worker in order to provide for her family. Fast forward to her time of the age of 45...she took the journey to come to the United States to provide for her children the best that she could. She brought them all to the United States for a better life, for them and for their families. Upon her arrival to better her life here in the US, Santa Ana, CA to be exact...she then went on to provide for her family by working as a housekeeper. She was loved and respected by all of her clients who she worked for. She was a loving mother, a wonderful grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and overall a fighting warrior. She raised all of her children pretty much all on her own...and always put her family first before herself. Anybody that knew our mom knew that she would give absolutely anything that she could to help out. She always provided to others before herself. One thing about her, she absolutely loved jewelry and if at any point you would say that you liked any of her jewelry she would just simply ask if you wanted it. Aside from having the biggest heart ever known to us all...she was also a fantastic cook. From her delicious moist Salvadoran tamales to her warm and soothing Salvadoran quesadillas. She had an outstanding recipe of her own of sopa de pata and her own personal touch on scrambled eggs, making them extra oily and making them one of her grandkids favorites… alongside her delicious crispy edge pancakes. The aroma of her garlicky fingers will always remain with us all in our memories. 

It was truly remarkable how even up until her late life, our mother could still very vividly remember and tell some of her amazing stories from her past.

She was just weeks shy away from reaching 97 years old, and during this whole time she always knew how to show love to her family one way or another. Every goal that she set out to accomplish, she achieved it. 

Mom, you will always be remembered, always be loved and always live in our hearts...always and forever.
