Rosa Angelica Arenas, 54, of Sun Valley, CA, sadly died at Glendale Adventist Hospital due to a complication from breast cancer on April 3rd, 2025.
Oldest of 5, she is survived by her husband, Arnel Arenas, her Mom and Dad, Sergio and Ernestina Murillo, her siblings, Lorena, Elyzabeth, Ivette and Sergio Junior and her 4 children, Aimee, Khristich, Kelly and Kristina.
Being products of their time, Angie and her husband met in 2013 through a chance encounter with the help of E-Harmony. Dubbing themselves the "Double A's", they got married at a quaint little Villa in Burbank while surrounded by their family and friends on Thanksgiving weekend 2015.
Just at the start of building their life together, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in early 2016. With the Grace of God and the brilliance of her oncologists, her cancer stabilized and even shrank to the point that surgery was not necessary.
Placing responsibilities and the care of others ahead of their own but stealing moments here and there, they postponed their honeymoon and planned for the future. They thanked God each and every day and never forgot to thank each other for being in each other's lives.
She knew the value of hard work starting from an early age when she and her sister, Lorena, would wake up early for their newspaper delivery route in Pasadena. And later on, as a single Mom, she found her calling as an empathetic caregiver. She grew to love those she took care of and found the connections very rewarding and fulfilling.
She was extremely creative and always looking for the next beautiful gifts that she could make with her hands from hand-knotting bracelets, concocting her own recipe of chapstick, to sewing chapstick holders for your keys or purse, to stitching the do-it yourself designs, to crafting charms, bracelets and keychains, to sewing masks for her husband who couldn't find a comfortable one to fit his large head at the start of Covid. She infused all of her creations with blessings and well-wishes, because why wouldn't she.
She was an avid Youtube watcher with dreams of one day being a Youtuber herself. She was so full of ideas she wanted to share with the world, she found it difficult to pick where to start. There was always time to start, until sadly, there was no more.
Our dear Rosa Angelica, that creative, happy, kind, modest to a fault, selfless and deeply loving bright soul is gone and life is less brighter without her in it.
