Ronald Annan Simpson, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away on May 31st, 2024 in Long Beach, California. He was born November 4th, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to Harry and Min Simpson.  Ron earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Oakland University.  Ron proudly served his country as a sergeant in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.

Ron and Pat had a vast network of friends.  They were the hub of festivities for both family and friends.  No event too small for a celebration!  Ron touched the hearts of many with his remarkable sense of humor and unwavering kindness. His children remember him as a fantastic father who was always there to uplift them when they needed it the most. He had a special talent for bringing laughter into the lives of his friends and family creating joyful memories that will be cherished forever.

Besides having a love for his family and friends, his love for computers was a fulfilling hobby.  He could be found tinkering on his computer all hours of the day.  He was passionate hockey player and fan.  Ron was a fantastic goalie in his day.  He was an L.A. Kings fan, often attending games with Alex and Katie, and was particularly overjoyed when they clinched the Stanley Cup.   Ron was an avid reader as well, always a book in his hand.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Patricia (Dowd) Simpson.   Ron will be missed by his children Jason (Kelly) Simpson, Alex Simpson, and Katie (Dusty Johnson) Simpson, as well as his big brother Bruce Simpson; grandchildren Savannah, Garrett and Skye; and nieces Amy and Maggie.  Ronald will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his memory will live on through the laughter he shared and the love he gave.
