Ronald Harry Robertson

Ronald Harry Robertson, 82, born on January 16, 1930 in Dundee, Scotland, passed away at his home in Burbank, CA July 12, 2012. Memorial service will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles CA on July 23 at 930 am at Church of the Hills. The service will be followed by a graveside tribute and a reception at the home of Lynn Talamantes. Ronald is survived by his wife of 62 years Janet R. Robertson, a daughter Lynn Talamantes and grandchildren Grant, Adam, and Lindsay Talamantes. He is received in Heaven by his mother Ester Charnley Robertson Veitch, father Harry Scott Robertson, sisters May Cunningham, Jean Mathewson, and Rita Paterson.

Ronnie met his wife in Dundee working in Cox's Mill. Janet worked at the looms weaving and Ronnie was the machinist that repaired them. The two were married on July 14, 1951, Ronnie was 20 and Janet 21. In 1955 they shared the birth of their only daughter, Lynn Blackwood Robertson.

Ronnie first brought his family to Burbank, California in 1957 when he took a job at Kahr Bearings, making airplane parts. He stayed with the company as it became Sargent Industires and continued working for them for 47 years. During these years he was a proud member of the Masonic Loge #406 of Burbank,where he served as Master in 1972. After retirement Ronnie spent his time with his grandchildren who were the true light of his life. He spent countless hours watching everything form sporting events to choir performances. He traveled all over California, Georgia, Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Scotland, and London loving his grandchildren. He is remembered most for his kindness and generosity to not only his family but all of those he came in contact with. He will forever be a great man, who is loved and missed by many.
