Ronald Bautista Puhawan

December 15, 1977 — June 10, 2024

Ronald Puhawan, a man who dedicated his life to his family and church, has left a profound mark on all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. Born on December 15, 1977, in Arcadia, California, Ronald's journey came to a peaceful end on June 10, 2024, amidst his cherished pastime of golfing.

Throughout his life, Ronald's vibrant personality and unwavering positivity shone brightly. He was known for his infectious smile, great sense of humor, and unmatched personality that made him a beacon of light in the lives of many. His unyielding spirit and welcoming demeanor touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Ronald appreciated the simple pleasures of life. A devoted family man, he took immense pride in being a loving father to his children Karolyn Tia and Ryder Aaron. He was proud to have attended Karolyn’s multiple award ceremonies and supported her with her debate club. As an Assistant Coach to Ryder's baseball team, Ronald found profound joy in witnessing his son hit a home run, a moment that brought immense pride to both father and son.

In addition to his roles within his family, Ronald was actively involved in his community and church. He lent his time selflessly as a committee member and parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Church and was also a member of the  Knights of Columbus. He always welcomed everyone into their home with open arms. His legacy as a kind-hearted individual will forever live on in the memories of those he has left behind.

Ronald was not just defined by his career and community involvement but also by his wide array of interests and hobbies. An avid golfer, traveler, and explorer of new cities, he found solace in experiencing all that life had to offer. His passion for RV trips with loved ones, cheering for the Lakers and Chargers fervently, and spending quality time with family embodied the true essence of living life to its fullest.

Family was at the core of Ronald's being. In addition to his adoring wife Kathryn Gabot-Puhawan and their children Karolyn Tia and Ryder Aaron, he is survived by his parents Rodelio and Estelita Puhawan, along with his brother Rossmir Puhawan. The bond they shared transcended lifetimes and serves as a testament to the love Ronald exuded throughout his time on earth.

The final chapter in Ronald Puhawan's story will be commemorated through two Funeral Services held at St. Mary Magdalene Roman Catholic Church in Corona, California. The Vigil and viewing will take place on July 19th starting at 5:00 PM and concluding at 9:00 PM. The funeral mass will be held on July 20th starting at 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM  with a police motorcade escort to Forest Lawn in Covina for the Interment to honor the life of an extraordinary individual whose presence will forever be missed but whose legacy will live on eternally.

In celebration of a life well-lived and a soul that touched countless others through its warmth and light, we bid farewell to Ronald Puhawan—a remarkable individual whose memory will remain engraved within our hearts for all eternity.
