Ronald Glenn Louie, a loving husband, a proud father and a brother passed away peacefully at home in Anaheim, California on March 26, 2025 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his parents Josephine A. Louie and Frank G. Louie. He is survived by his wife Flora, his children Jennifer, Richard, Ariel, and Danielle, as well as his siblings Harvey, Roger and Gail.
Born in San Francisco on November 23, 1956, Ron was the oldest of his four siblings and he lived in Sacramento until the age of 12 when his family moved to Cypress, California. He attended Pacifica High School, graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and attained his Master’s Degree in Quality Engineering from Cal State Dominguez Hills while working at McDonnell Douglas and raising a family.
Ron worked at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in Huntington Beach until the year 2001. He was a very successful and valued Quality Engineer whose expertise was sought after by every team he worked on. While at McDonnel Douglas, he met his wife, Flora and were married for 35 years. He later joined The Aerospace Corporation as a Mission Assurance Engineer in El Segundo where he travelled extensively for his job. He also managed and operated a vanpool from Cypress to El Segundo.
His hobbies include racing homing pigeons, fishing, skiing, shooting, and listening to rock music, his favorites included Journey, Foreigner and The Police. He loved riding his motorcycle and driving his Mustang at 100+ mph. He enjoyed gambling and visited casinos wherever he was traveling. He and Flora went to the beach often - walking, fishing, watching the sunset and having a bonfire beach barbeque at night with friends in the summers. He also enjoyed lighting up fireworks on the 4th of July and would go see the Disneyland fireworks with his family on summer evenings at the corner of Ball and Harbor Boulevard. He loved to build things, specially from wood and was very handy around the house. In addition to backyard barbeques, he looked forward to preparing turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas for his family.
A life well lived, a life maximized, a potential reached, a dream realized, and a love reciprocated. Ron was passionate in everything he did, all the boxes checked, and boundaries pushed, a success by any measure. He provided a wonderful life for his family and was loved dearly; he will be sorely missed by family and friends.
