Ronald Lee Armstrong, 62, born on August 7, 1953 in Torrance, California, passed away unexpectedly after a sudden illness on February 1, 2016. He resided in Camarillo, California, at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his wife and life companion of 25 years, Sally, brother and sister in law Dan and Angie Armstrong of North Bend, Oregon, four nieces Remy Tuck, Christa Whiteside, Kimberly Checcio all of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jamie Armstrong of Hood River, Oregon, nephew Kyle Armstrong of San Diego, California, two step nieces, Elizabeth (Liz) Dreveskracht and Emma Dreveskracht of North Bend, Oregon and various aunts, uncles and cousins from throughout California and Oregon. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Elmer E. and Lillie I. Armstrong of Bandon, Oregon.

Ronald was a 1972 graduate of Bandon High School, Bandon, Oregon and he obtained an under graduate degree in Electronics Engineering from Oregon Technical Institute (now Oregon Institute of Technology) in Ashland, Oregon in 1974. He furthered his education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University and a Masters Degree from California State University Northridge. He went on to have a very successful career as an electronics engineer at Naval Air Warfare Pacific Ranges in Point Mugu, California, retiring in 2013 after more than 30 years of dedicated and faithful service. After retirement Ron continued to work as a part time consultant when called upon. Over the years he developed a keen interest in science, astronomy, science fiction and music. Upon retirement, Ron spent countless hours composing music. His selfless, generous and loving nature served as an inspiration to coworkers and family members.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.
