Romeo "Romy" Espino Sinio passed away on Thursday, September 26 in Santa Monica, California aged 75. The youngest son of ten children, Romy was born on August 9, 1938 in Calumpit, Bulacan Province, Philippines. He married Carmencita "Menchie" Garma on November 2, 1966 in Rockford, Illinois. Together they raised their two children, Rosechel and Romeo "Jong-Jong".

Romy enlisted in the United States Navy at 19 and served 20 years before retiring in 1978. He was offered a position in the White House kitchens but turned down the position as he was newly married. After retiring from the Navy he worked as a civilian contractor at Fort Ord then when he moved to Palmdale was employed by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.

In 1975, he brought his widowed mother from the Philippines to live with him and his family in Long Beach, California. In 1989, Romy and his family moved from Salinas, California to Palmdale, California to be closer to his sisters.

Romy devoted his life to caring for and raising his family. His children were his pride and joy. He was a sterling example of generosity and strength. Romy sacrificed,
saved and was extremely instrumental in helping his children in whatever they needed. He loved and thought constantly of his wife, children, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.

Romy leaves behind his always loving and devoted wife, Menchie; daughter, Rosechel; son, Jong-Jong, and his wife, Ursula; his sister, Corazon "Baby", and her husband Peping; his sisters, Juliet "Dely" and Teresita "Tita"; brother, Virgilio and his wife, Fely; his brother-in-law, Cenon; sister-in-law, Francisca; along with a multitude of nieces and nephews including Jaime, Joey, Cynthia, Grace, Rose, Annie, Joy, Meldy and Jay to name a few.

We will love you and think of you always, Romy.
